Express Entry
Express Entry is the new selection system for Canadian immigration, designed to select skilled workers for immigration to Canada.
Express Entry is the first step to immigrate to Canada and it is a completely electronic process involving the federal government, provincial governments, and Canadian employers. It is composed of three immigration programs:
- Federal Skilled Worker Program
- Federal Skilled Trades Program
- Canadian Experience Class
There are certain Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) that has Express Entry component. First you should create a profile which contains your personal information and skills that will totally contribute to your score in the point-based Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) and wait in the pool until you receive an Invitation To Apply (ITA) for Permanent Residency.
Express Entry Points
The Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) gives the applicant a score based on the information in your profile which includes the following:
- Skills
- Education
- Language ability
- Work experience
- Other factors
The following are the ways wherein you can be able to increase your points:
- A valid job offer
- An approved nomination certificate from a particular province
- Canadian degrees, diplomas or certificates
